On October 21st and 22nd, 2016, Alloway participated in the 2016 Lima/Allen County Makerfest. More than 1300 students from 27 regional high schools and career tech schools explored local careers with over 75 employers. The students also had the opportunity to participate in skilled trade competitions along with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics competitions to showcase their talents. In addition, 450 adult job seekers visited local employers, submitting resumes and applications, and building their personal networks. As a direct result of the event, Alloway was able to find a great candidate for a current job opening.
Alloway enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate the success of Allen County and contribute to the local employment opportunities that exist in the region!
